POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Department Manager
  • Research and propose the application of software project management processes
  • Organize and manage software development projects in accordance with project management processes
  • Conduct requirement gathering and align expectations with users and stakeholders
  • Prepare cost estimates and resource planning for software projects
  • Plan, assign tasks, and organize project execution
  • Manage outsourced project teams for US/Singapore/Japan markets
  • Monitor and ensure project progress and quality according to the plan
  • Control and manage changes in project requirements
  • Handle project acceptance, deployment, and product release
  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure compliance with ISO and CMMI standards
  • Participate in internal training programs at VMO
  • Support bidding activities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience:

  • Typically 1–3 years of experience in IT project management or a related field

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – from PMI
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or other Agile certifications
  • ITIL certification is a plus

Skills:

  • Project Management: Strong understanding of methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with IT systems, SDLC, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and related technologies
  • Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead cross-functional teams (developers, testers, business analysts)
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Budget Management: Experience in managing project budgets and resource allocation
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage expectations and maintain strong relationships
  • Risk Management: Skilled in identifying and mitigating project risks
  • Change Management: Ability to manage changes in scope, timeline, and resources
