In a significant move to advance Vietnam's semiconductor industry, VMO Holdings and the Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on August 8, 2024, to introduce a chip design academic program. This initiative represents a crucial milestone in building a top-tier workforce for the country's semiconductor sector.The signing ceremony was graced by representatives from the Ministry of Information and Communications, leading international semiconductor companies, and received congratulatory messages from the Presidents of Arm Korea and Arm Vietnam.Speaking at the event, Mr. Hoang Tuan Hai, CEO of VMO Holdings, expressed confidence in the strong collaboration between PTIT and VMO, stating, "With the existing potential and strengths of both organizations, PTIT and VMO have successfully engaged in effective cooperation in training and human resource development activities. On the morning of July 1 2024, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with a high-ranking delegation, participated in the 2024 Vietnam – Korea Business Forum organized in Seoul, Korea. The event was also attended by over 500 delegates who are leaders of local ministries, branches, and Vietnamese – Korean businesses.At the forum, the Korean business community was introduced to Vietnam’s development situation. Multiple shared opinions asserted the potential, strengths, strategies and development directions in both investment and cooperation, along with opportunities in the two markets of Vietnam and Korea. Delegates also joined in analyzing the situation; proposing ideas to promote investment and business cooperation between Vietnam and Korea regarding the fields of digital transformation, innovation and supply chain development; proposing policy planning; improving institutions; enhancing competitiveness; attracting external resources; etc. Representatives of the business community and experts from the two countries clearly expressed their interest and desire to continue to promote further investment cooperation, contributing to cultivating an increasingly strong relationship between the two nations.Within the framework of the forum, P.M.
